This homeowner was struggling with moisture under his home, and he really wanted more insulation to help with energy efficiency. He called Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas and worked with Jack, our system design specialist, to develop the correct solution to his problem!

Bryan and his crew started by removing all the debris from the space. After cleaning up the space, they installed a layer of drainage matting which is great for crawl space drainage. Drainage matting also softens the floor and increases durability. The dimples allow for better conductivity for water to get to the perimeter drainage. For this job, they finished up by installing our SilverGlo Insulation.

Job Stories From Austin, AR
EverLast Door Installation, Austin Ar

Our production team installs many different products to stop/prevent mold, to create a water vapor barrier for your basement or crawlspace. One product we install is our vent covers or EverLast Door. These covers greatly improve the appearance, operation, and energy efficiency of a basement window. The bright, modern, easy gliding Everlast is a must for every home. By letting in outside air we increase our heating bills in the winter, increase our cooling bills in the summer and actually let more moisture into the house. The EverLast door will seal off outside air, compatible with a damp environment near the ground, and look good for years to come. The EverLast door can be used on block walls, Poured Walls, or Stone Walls. To use it on a block wall- first, the frame comes out, measure block to block horizontally and block to sill plate vertically, subtract 1/2" from each measurement for window size. To install it on a poured wall- Frame stays in- measure between innermost parts of the frame both ways and subtract 1/2" from each measurement for window size. For Stone Walls- Measure opening that would be left when the old wood frame is removed and subtract 1/2 from each measurement for window size.

The installation procedures:

In the opening using his level of the entire window in the opening. Using a window and door foam that has minimal expansion properties is best so it won't blow in the window jambs. Leave the foam to sit for 15 minutes to allow for expansion and cure time. Next, tape off the window jambs to protect the jamb and window. Use a small bead of hydraulic cement or textured FlexiCaulk on the interior and exterior of the window.

Just like this, the EverLast Door will be properly installed!

Work Requests From Austin, AR
Project Location: Austin, AR
I have a basement living area of 600 sq ft with kitchen , bath, and living area. Built in 2006 the basement living area was carpet. All other area porcelain tile. With heavy rainfall water flows into the basement from outside perimeter. Never more than one inch depth. After the rain and water table goes down usually within 24 hours the water flows back out for the most part. The basement is unusable. I installed a sump pump on the southeast corner outside the basement. That seemed to provide relief but not 100% . Not sure if the pump even worked three to four weeks ago. I need to get this basement 100% water proofed . Please come out and tell me what you recommend and give an estimate.
