Job Stories From Baxter County, AR
Musty Crawl Space in Mountain Home, AR

Dr. Mark King, a dermatologist, called Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas and voiced concerns of musty odor, condensation on duct work, and standing water in his crawl space. Being a dermatologist, cleanliness and healthy appearances would be important. John Cossey, owner of Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas, visited with Mark at his home and offered solutions to his concerns. Mark needed a sump system and drainage pipe, Clean Space encapsulation to remediate the humidity. Mark opted to add the SilverGlo insulation package to take care of his cold floors. He was one of the first homes in the state of Arkansas to have SilverGlo. Dr. King’s home is no longer dealing with musty odors. His crawl space is now very clean and energy efficient.

Damp Crawl Space in Mountain Home, Arkansas

This homeowner had other people try to fix the water problem under his home, but no one had been successful. He explained that there was a small pump under the home, but it was not efficient enough, leaving the crawl space damp most of the year. The crew had to go under the home and remove insulation, the insulation was not serving its intended purpose and it was damp. They also put down drainage matting to create small tunnels for the water to flow through. On top of the Drainage Matting the crew installed Clean Space, which locks out all moisture that attempts to come up through the dirt floor.  EZ flow was installed around the perimeter to direct the water to the SmartSump. The SmartSump is a specially designed sump pump for crawl spaces. It pumps the water out and away from the home. To pair with this and solve the humidity problem a SaniDry Sedona was installed, this is the most energy efficent dehumidifer on the market, that will keep the crawl space dry.

Dirt in Crawl Space, Gassville Ar

Homeowner David S, called the experts at Crawl Space Solution of Arkansas, stating that he was having some structural problems to the foundation of his home. When our system design specialist arrived at David's home, he explained to him why he was having these issues. Any time you have a dirt crawl space the humidity from the earth's soil is extremely high. Which the water vapor can easily move into your crawl space and upwards into the house environment. The specialist suggested that David goes with our drainage matting and our smart jack to restore his foundation to his home. David is very happy that he called the experts out to get a free inspection!

CleanSpace Installation, Norfork Ar

Homeowner Phillip S was experiencing some heavy floods in his crawl space. Any time you have water in your crawlspace or basement, you are taking the chance of bacteria and mold developing. It also increases the chance of having more insects in rodents. Philip tried everything he could think of before calling Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas to come to take a look. When we arrived at Phillips residence, a plan was developed on how to eliminate the mold, get the water out, and prevent future water from entering the house. We decided to do our full encapsulation system, which creates a barrier so water can not pour in and if there is a leak on the inside our SmartSump removes it. The main product used for our full encapsulation system is our CleanSpace Liner.

Our CleanSpace liner is used to completely and permanently isolate the house, doing this will dramatically reduce the humidity levels in the air. Installing the CleanSpace Liner is done by trained professionals, as it takes a lot of precision to get a good fit. The liner is carefully cut and installed in sections. Small holes will be drilled into the crawl space walls approximately 6" below the wood sill plate and every 3" along the wall. Nylon fasteners are installed to permanently secure the CleanSpace liner to the wall. The top edge of the liner is sealed to the walls with a polyurethane sealant. All seams are sealed with special 4" wide sealing tape and or sealant. The CleanSpace liner is also sealed around other objects, such as pipes, columns, and piers with any combination of sealant or concrete.

Wet/Mold/Dirty CrawlSpace, Midway Ar

Having a water issue in your crawl space can be devastating, frustrating, and unsafe. Bob C realized that he needed professional help with his crawl space because he has water issues and didn't know how to resolved the issues. Bob decided to call the experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas.  The best solution for Bob was to install the Smart Sump,  the SaniDry CX dehumidification system, and the Cleanspace wall vapor barrier. These products together would help keep Bob's Crawl space dry and also help control the moisture and humidity levels.

When our crew arrived at Bob's house the first thing they did was install out SmartSump- Our SmartSump is installed by creating a hole in the floor at the lowest possible elevation in the crawlspace approximately 21"  in diameter and excavate own 21" from the floor surface. It is recommended to get the Smart Sump annual service to ensure it is well maintained. Each SmartSump comes with an annual service kit: which comes with Screw-in check value, 9v batteries, 2 wire ties,2'" Next service due" labels, 1 "this based protected by" label. Each SmartSump comes with a complete sump package. the envelope will be attached to the top of the Cord Captain with the included wire tie. Inside the package will include: service envelope, wire tie (8") owners manual 2 "next service due" labels 1 condensation indicator strip, 2 electrician notes. With this, you can always take a quick look at your sump pump and see when the next service is due.

Waterproofing Crawl Space in Cotter, AR

John B noticed water coming through the walls in his crawlspace. He wanted to make sure it was not going to lead to a more serious problem. After asking some friends who did their crawlspace, many of them told John to call the experts at Crawl Space Solutions of Arkansas.

Upon arrival at John's residence, it was decided that we need to lower the moisture and keep water out of his crawlspace. Our system design specialist and John agreed we needed to install a CleanSpace liner, SaniDry Sedona and a SmartSump Sump Pump.

John has been very happy since we serviced his crawlspace and has not had issues coming from his crawlspace.

Water Damage in Lakeview, AR

This homeowner called in stating that he had found some mold on the insulation of his crawl space. When we got our System Design Specialist out there, we found there was a lot of water damage, in addition to there being significant mold growth. We treated the mold with our Mold-X-2 Treatment to neutralize the mold and stop the growth. Zachary and his crew then got to work installing a SmartSump Crawl Space Drainage System. Part of keeping your crawl space dry involves a sump pump. The state-of-the-art SmartSump is designed just for crawl spaces. The liner and lid are designed to form a tight seal around the CleanSpace liner.

TrenchDrain in Mountain Home

In front of this doorway shown, our Design Specialist proposed our TrenchDrain. This system is designed to prevent water from entering your house through doorways and stairways. TrenchDrain collects water and drains it to a perimeter drainage system or sump pump. We jackhammered through the concrete just in front of the doorway, then installed the TrenchDrain flush with the surface. Once the product was put in place, we secured it with concrete. This will catch the water and cause it to flow out into the yard and away from the doorway.
