Installing a Silver Glo, Dardenelle Ar

Our Siler Glo panel is expanded polystyrene foam insulation with graphite infused throughout the foam with a foil material laminated to one or both sides of the panel. The graphite drives the insulation value (or "R-Value) of the foam up by approximately 24% over conventional foam by lowering its thermal conductivity and the foil adds heat-reflecting capabilities. The silverGlo panels are engineered, graphite infused expanded polystyrene foam insulation panels that are used to stop heat flow through walls, roofs, and floors. 

The installation procedures:

Start by inspecting the walls for a high spot in the masonry or poured concrete walls. High sports may need to be knocked down with a hammer or chisel bit on the hammer drill so the panel sits flat against the wall surface. Then, install the first panel in the far corner, work your way out from the corner to the left and right of where you started. IF there are any pipe penetrations, you may want to start there. Measure the height of the walls to determine the size of the panels, cut panels the height of the masonry wall not to the floor joist. Cut to size using a marker and "T" square and cut the panel straight with a PVC saw or hand saw. Apply panel to the wall and using a level make sure the pane is straight. After ensuring the panel is level, mechanically fasten the panel to the wall using Silver Glo fasteners that are 1" longer than the panel is thick. by drilling 1/4" holes through the panel and into the wall, tapping fasteners in with a hammer. Attaching the lower (2) fasteners first then the upper fasteners (2) a total of (4) fasteners should be used per panel.
