This customer was experiencing water problems in their crawl space. Under the home, we found that there was water standing in the crawl space, which could be the start to a number of problems such as rotting wood and mold or mildew. To solve these problems and prevent any future problems our crew installed a number of products. They started out by putting down drainage matting which is used to help the water drain out of the crawl space, the drainage matting has dimples in it that create a tunnel for the water to flow through. Over the drainage matting, they put CleanSpace to prevent any moisture from escaping to affect the crawl space. The crew also installed a SaniDry Sedona to control and lower the overall humidity level in the crawl space. To finish the crew installed CleanSpace vent covers, these work to prevent any future problems that the customer might face because with these there is no chance of the outside moisture to enter the crawl space.

This crawl space had some water standing on the floor. This water was causing there to be a higher humidity under the home. To solve this problem the crew placed drainage matting on the floor, this creates small tunnels for the water to flow through. EZ flow was also installed around the perimeter. This EZ flow directs water to the sump pump to leave the crawl space. A SmartSump was installed to pump the water out from under the home to keep it dry. An IceGuard was also installed, this keeps the water flowing out even if it is frozen or there is debris. 

Crawl space liners rest directly on the crawl space floor. If your crawl space is flooding, water can be trapped underneath, never making it to your perimeter drain.

The raised dimples on our CleanSpace Drainage Matting gives the water flooding into your crawl space a channel underneath your crawl space liner. This directs the water flooding your crawl space to your perimeter crawl space drain.

A crawl space vapor barrier is an excellent way to keep water and moisture from your crawl space, but it's also important to drain away flooded water that collects underneath. By installing CleanSpace Drainage Matting, your crawl space is protected, and water is directed to your drainage system.

CleanSpace Drainage Matting should not significantly add to the installation time of your crawl space vapor barrier system. When we send our crew to your home, one member will lay the drainage matting while another installs the liner over the top. A CleanSpace crawl space system usually installs in less than a day.

Once when the drainage matting is installed, we will then move on to the CleanSpace Liner. The clean space liner is used to isolate the home from the earth completely and permanently. Installing a CleanSpace liner- The liner is carefully cut and installed in sections. Small holes will be drilled into the crawl space walls approximately 6" below the wood sill plate and every 3' along the wall. Nylon fasteners are installed to permanently secure the CleanSpace liner to the wall. The top edge of the liner is sealed to the walls with a polyurethane sealant. All seams are sealed with special 4" wide sealing tape and/or sealant. The CleanSpace liner is also sealed around other objects, such as pipes, columns, and piers with any combination of a sealant of concrete

A senior official at this Conway Church called and stated that the church had quite a bit of moisture in the crawl space under the parish hall. Our System Design Specialist knew that the parish hall would need several things including: a full CleanSpace Encapsulation System and a SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. Our crew got right to work on the removal and disposal of debris in the crawl space. Once the crew got the area cleaned, graded, and prepped, they laid down our Drainage Matting underneath our thick 20-mil CleanSpace liner, which helps control humidity and moisture coming up from the ground from getting to the home.
