This basement was leaking during heavy rains leaving water standing and the basement unusable. To solve this problem WaterGuard was installed. WaterGuard is a special drainage system that collects the water that enters through the walls and floors then directs it to the pump to leave the basement. The pump that was installed was a SuperSump, these are specially designed for basements. They work to efficiently pump the water out of the basement and not let it ever have any damaging effects on the home. To go along with the pump a LawnScape outlet and IceGuard were installed, these ensure that the water is able to leave the basement no matter the condition. 

This homeowner had water leaking into their basement which made it difficult to store anything there. The system design specialist had the best solution for this homeowner’s problem. To start the crew installed WaterGuard, which is a drainage system specially designed for basements. They also installed two SuperSumps to pump the water out of the basement and away from the home. The crew also installed ice guards, these help resist clogging due to ice or debris. 

This customer was experiencing moisture problems in their crawl space they were also noticing that some of the floors were beginning to buckle. Upon inspection, they found mold in the crawl space, so we knew that something needed to be done before the people living in the home became ill. There was a water standing all over the crawl space, which probably had a lot to do with the mold.

To solve the problems our crew started by pulling out all of the wet insulation that fallen and was sitting on the crawl space floor. Once they had all of the wet insulation removed, the crew had to grade the ground out so there were no holes for water to sit in. Once the crew had everything removed and the ground graded out, they started to take care of the mold problem. They did this spraying Mold-X2 on the affected areas. They then put down Drainage Matting. The Drainage Matting creates tunnels for the water to flow through and out of the crawl space. Over the Drainage Matting the crew laid down Clean Space, this is a vapor barrier that does not allow any moisture to affect the crawl space. The piers were also wrapped to ensure there was nowhere for moisture to escape. The crew also installed a SaniDry Sedona, this is the most energy efficient dehumidifier on the market. There was also some settling of the foundation, so to take care of this problem SmartJacks were installed. SmartJacks are adjustable steel piers that work to prevent buckling of floors and the foundation settles over time. 

The crew finished the job by installing vent covers, so no outside air or moisture can penetrate the crawl space. They also installed a new crawl space door and access well, so it is easier to access the crawl space, and no unwanted pests can enter through an old worn outdoor. This homeowner is not enjoying a healthier home from the ground up.
