Homeowner Danny K has noticed that he has mold growing in his CrawSpace. Danny decided to call the experts for a free inspection. When our System Design Specialist arrived at Danny's house, it was determined that he did indeed have mold growing, it was also discovered that he had some water damage due to leakage. Our System Design Specialist Lee developed a plan that would solve all of Danny's needs. Lee determined that the products to be used would be our SmartSump, IceGuard, SaniDry Sedona, and our CleanSpace. 

Our SmartSump is installed by doing the following - We do this by, creating a hole in the floor, at the lowest possible elevation in the crawlspace approximately 21" in diameter and excavate down 21" from the floor surface. Set the liner in the hole with a lid approximately 1/4 below the surface of the crawlspace and backfill with clean stone. Then we install the pump; check the valve and section of the 1-1/2 PVC discharge pipe that extends above the floor. With the clean space cut approximately 2" inside the liner base all the way around the diameter place the 2 piece lid around the discharge pipe and pull the electrical cord through the other opening in the top and then with the clean space sandwiched between the base and sump lid, bold the lid into place Install airtight grommets and alarm. Mount cord Captain to the 1 1/2 discharge line using supplied pipe clamp for wire management, hanging system service envelope using 8" white tie supplied and fill out all information on the label. 

Because of this Danny now has a clean Crawlspace!! 

Preventing mold growth in crawl space can easily be done by sealing it. Encapsulate the area such that no moisture will be able to find its way through. Dehumidifying the area can also help a lot to control the moisture in the air, keeping it dry. All seams are sealed with special 4" wide sealing tape and or sealant.
