The TripleSafe Sump Pump features three separately powered pumps, the WaterWatch Alarm, and an airtight floor drain. The primary pump is our Zoeller 1/3hp pump. This pump runs quietly, keeping up with average rainfall without a problem. The secondary pump is the Zoeller 1/2hp pump, powered separately from the primary pump; and it sits a little higher in the sump pump liner. It's designed to turn on only when needed, such as more rain than the primary pump can keep up with, pump failure, or the primary pump isn't getting power. The third pump is the UltraSump with Battery Backup, and this pump is powered by battery and will only come on when absolutely necessary. When it is not running, it is charging so it is always ready! The charger is on a completely separate power supply from the rest of the TripleSafe, so it won't interfere with power to the other two pumps. In the event that water should get high enough to reach the WaterWatch Alarm due to a plumbing leak, you'll hear the alarm, so you know there is a problem immediately. Because the goal is to keep your basement or crawl space dry, the TripleSafe lid contains the airtight floor drain, allowing water to drain from your crawl space or basement and not allowing air from the sump pump to escape.
