We installed CleanSpace to to help this customer with a nasty moisture problem. 

Most times, water in the crawl space gets there one of three ways: a plumbing leak, water seepage from the surrounding soil (usually after heavy rain), or condensation. Humidity condenses on cold surfaces, like ducts, and drips onto the crawl space floor.

Puddles of water in the crawl space aren’t good, but the water itself won’t ruin your home. It’s the water vapor (or moisture) that causes rot, mold, energy loss, and attracts pests. And these problems don’t just stay in your crawl space. As much as 50% of the air upstairs comes from below - this means mold spores, musty smells, and humid air that dust mites love.

The main issue with dirt crawl spaces is the moisture from the dirt beneath the home. Whether your crawl space suffers from groundwater leakage or not, the earth is damp. The natural airflow in a house is from bottom to top. This sucks the moist air, and everything in it, up into the living areas of the home. A damp environment is very unhealthy, destructive, and can lead to wood rot, mold growth, and poor indoor air quality.

Customer called in regarding cleaning up, encapsulating, and needing a new access door. Our Design Specialist a full encapsulation including insulation removal. We installed a Sedona dehumidifier and a SmartSump. 

For the new access door that the customer requested, we suggested a custom Metal Door. These doors are built to the exact specifications of the access point. 

When these homeowners called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas, they were looking for a vapor barrier and thought they may need a sump pump. After visiting with our Design Specialist, Craigen, they chose to fully repair their crawl space with our CleanSpace Encapsulation System. We installed our Drainage Matting with the CleanSpace Liner, sealed the vents with our SilverGlo Vent Seals, and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier!
