This home was damp and the homeowners were getting more concerned about what was happening in their crawl space. After a visit from our Design Specialist, Michael, they had a plan to make their home drier and healthier! Will and his team installed dimpled Drainage Matting, the EverLast Access Door, a SmartSump, the Ez Flow Drainage System, and the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier. These homeowners love it!
When this homeowner in Batesville noticed mold in their crawl space, they called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas! Our Design Specialist, Justin, inspected the crawl space and suggested a treatment with our Mold-X2 cleaner, our dimpled Drainage Matting as a vapor barrier, and replacing the main beam that had begun to rot. This crawl space is on track to being cleaner, drier, and healthier thanks to CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas!
The CleanSpace crawl space encapsulation system completely isolates your home from the earth. This dramatically reduces the humidity level in the air which when combined with sealing outside air and dehumidification, will eliminate mold growth and rot from your crawl space and make the whole house healthier.
CleanSpace liner is a white/blue seven-layer reinforced laminate containing no adhesives. The outer layer consists of high strength polyurethane film manufactured using virgin grade resins and containing UVI and thermal stabilizers. CleanSpace is reinforced laid in a diagonal pattern spaced 3/8" apart with an additional machine direction polyester every 3" across the width. The individual plies are laminated together with molten polyethylene.
We also used our Smart Jacks for this job. The Smart Jack- is a supplemental support system for crawl space applications. The Smart Jacks effectively supports sagging beams and floor joist caused by:
length of span greater than spanning capability of the members
Floor load added after construction, exceeding design values
Weakening of members over time due to high moisture and rot
A dirt crawl space under a home is a very bad idea. The earth has very high humidity in the soil. This water vapor moves easily into the crawl space and upwards into the house environment. Insect and critters of all kinds love damp environments and wet materials. Rot and decay occur in damp environments causing structural damage.
