Crawl Space Repair Case Studies: Crawl Space Vapor Barrier in Fairfield Bay
Challenge
This homeowner was concerned about moisture in her crawl space. She called CrawlSpace Solutions of Arkansas to inspect her crawl space and get a solution to her moisture problem. Our Design Specialist, Jack, went out to visit and design a solution to her crawl space concerns. The homeowner decided to insulated her crawl space with SilverGlo Insulation Panels and have our Drainage Matting installed to act as a vapor barrier.
Solution
Zachary and his team graded and prepped the crawl space, then sealed the vents with SilverGlo Vent Seals. They installed our graphite infused SilverGlo Insulation Panels to prevent outside air from entering the crawl space, then installed the dimpled Drainage Matting on the dirt floor of the crawl space. The Drainage Matting acts as a thermal break and vapor barrier, helping keep the whole home drier and more energy efficient.
